Telstra health has just purchased Anywhere Healthcare from Medibank plus ComCare community care management systems from WA’s Silver Chain.

With the accelerating move by village operators to introduce increasing elements of care support services, the eHealth strategy being rolled out by Telstra makes increasing sense.

Launched in February 2013 (just 32 months ago), Telstra Health has acquired a substantial suite of software and service providors which are now being taken up by leading residential aged care operators and home and community providors. This will be a game changer for retirement village operators providing care support to residents.

Telstra can increasingly provide a suite of management, data and telehealth tools that is an integrated IT solution for care operators plus Telstra can increasingly ‘cocoon’ the care recipient. Consider the following:
