Outgoing CEO Mike Rungie leaves two giant projects as part of his legacy. The Not For Profit is heading up an ambitious project to turn a 22,500sqm site opposite the Lyell McEwin Hospital in Elizabeth Vale, 22km north of the CBD.

It will include consulting and allied health clinicians, training providers and accommodation operators, with the aim for the site to become a leading centre for health care innovation and technology. It will take five years to complete.

ACH also recently announced a plan to redevelop the Repatriation General Hospital site at Daw Park in Adelaide. That site, a joint venture with a consortium including Anglicare, Flinders University, RDNS, Healthscope and Adelaide Community Healthcare Alliance, will boast a range of residential accommodation, plus health, educational, retail and research facilities.
