Property group plans seven-storey village and aged care precinct for NSW’s Coffs Harbour

The Bachrach Naumburger Group has put in application to develop the $100 million ‘vertical village’ which would be just 100 metres from the beach and offer ocean views from its upper storeys.

Designed by aged care architects Boffa Robertson Group, the site would feature 183 independent living units as well as a 120-bed aged care facility with the building to be built in three stages over four to five years.

GM Steve Gooley said that the village would meet an acute lack of retirement living options in the North Coast.

“Local people have told us they wish to downsize and sell their homes but the retirement housing options suited to their needs haven't been available in Coffs Harbour,” he said.

He added that there is already a waiting list to buy off-the-plan for the development, plus plenty of interest from nearby Armidale and Tamworth.

With Coffs Harbour well-known as a holiday hotpot, they also expect the development to attract buyers from the capital cities too.
