The first of 321 homes, with either water frontage or direct golf course access, at Palm Lake Resort Pelican Waters will be opened early next year, weather permitting.

The first sod on the $70 million over 50s village, adjoining a reconfigured Greg Norman-designed golf course, was turned in August last year. Now the building of the resort can begin.

“It will be, arguably, the most iconic over-50s community Australia has ever seen,” said Palm Lake Group Managing Director Scott Elliott.

“The Springs by Palm Lake Resort” as it will be known, will feature more than 320 ultra-premium homes - think plunge pools, internal lifts, luxury golf cars and golf-car parking. Homeowners here will also enjoy the most luxurious resort facilities to date in an unbeatable natural wildlife-filled environment. All this, and their resort will sit immediately adjacent to our company’s Greg Norman-designed Pelican Waters Golf Course, that is being reconfigured to accommodate the new homes.”

Palm Lake Resort Sales Manager Alysia Nechvoglod told Sunshine Coast News “the first homes and facilities will be next with a new opening date anticipated early in 2023.”

A lakefront country club will offer a sports centre, social centre and wellness centre.

The golf course’s clubhouse is being turned into a hotel-style facility available to club members and the public. In addition, there will be a new stand-alone pro shop, training academy, mini golf, pitch and putt, driving range and glass-clad lakeside chapel.

“Palm Lake Resort Pelican Waters is one element of a greater total luxury precinct emerging here at Pelican Waters,” said Palm Lake Resort on its website.
