Merton Living has opened another 20 unit retirement village five minutes from the centre of Denman in the Upper Hunter region of NSW, now giving the organisation 46 occupied units in total within the town.

Merton Living Chairman David Roe praised the efforts of locals and donors with special mention to Mangoola and the Muswellbrook Shire Council who provided a nine month interest free loan to start the process.

General manager Shani Mitchell praised the village and said it is “an amazing achievement especially for a small town such as Denman” adding that there had been fantastic feedback from the residents.

A sentiment echoed by Muswellbrook Shire Mayor Martin Rush who praised the people of Denman for providing an “absolutely magnificent facility”.
