Retirement provider Aveo Group has unveiled two new buildings at its Aveo Springfield retirement community just 35 minutes from Brisbane CBD.

One of the new buildings, a state-of-the-art health and wellness centre aligns with Aveo Group’s national strategy to provide residents with a community for life by meeting their care needs as they age.

As well as a heated therapy pool, gymnasium, beauty services and new restaurant, the health centre includes consulting rooms for a range of health professionals including a GP and allied health and hearing services which are planned for 2019.

The development will also provide facilities for weekly activities including arts and craft, knitting groups and happy hour in recognition that a key component to a vital, healthy lifestyle is socialisation according to Aveo Group CEO Geoff Grady.

“Aveo Springfield has now become the go-to place for seniors with Tai Chi and Pilates classes held weekly as well as the “Ipswich 60 and Better Program” members playing tennis regularly” Mr Grady said.

The new stage also includes one, two and three bedroom independent living and assisted living apartments providing additional care and service options.
