After 22 years as the House of Representatives elected representative for the Sydney seat of Mackellar, Bronwyn Bishop has been dumped as the Liberal candidate for the forthcoming election in favour of Jason Falinski who for the past 20 years has been the founder and managing director of CareWell Health. It markets furniture and health aids for the aged care sector.

It seems politics has always been his first passion. He was President of the NSW Young Liberals, an adviser to former Liberal leader John Hewson and former Liberal Premier of NSW Barry O’Farrell plus the NSW Transport Minister Andrew Constance.

He is also a moderate favoured by the Prime Minister, Malcolm Turnbull.
