Southern Cross Care Direct offers a wide range of services and support to assist people to live independently in their own homes throughout Brisbane, Gold Coast and Ipswich. Our services are available to anyone for help around the home on a fee for service basis. The Federal Government also provides access to subsidised care to those that are assessed as needing additional help.
From providing the highest levels of care and support through to helping people navigate the government support programs – we look after people.

Case Management
At Southern Cross Care Direct we pride ourselves on delivering specialised certified case managers who offer understanding, guidance and support who will go above and beyond to achieve your goals.
Domestic Assistance
We can assist you with keeping your house clean, make sure that your house feels like home, your home! Services can include:
- Cleaning/vacuuming
- Cleaning bathroom and toilet
- Daily basic house clean (changing / making bed etc.)
- Load and hang out washing
- Dishwashing
- Ironing
Meals
At Southern Cross Care we know how important it is to have nutritious meals, not only can we come and help prepare nutritious meals in your home but we can help you get the dietary assistance and advice you need. Services can include:
- Assist preparing daily / weekly fresh or frozen homemade meals
- Meals home delivered
- Dietary assistance and advice
Transport
Staying in your own home doesn’t have to limit you, we will help you to get to and from things like medical appointments, to the shopping centre to pay bills, do shopping, help you get to those community and social activities to keep you engage with the life that you want to live. Services can include:

Southern Cross Care Direct understands that at times we all turn to someone for support, our Pastoral Care Services are used throughout our organisation and offer emotional and spiritual support that can be found in all cultures and traditions.
Personal Services
Southern Cross Care Direct are here to help you each and everyday. We are on hand to offer you everything from having a regular cup of tea and biscuits, helping you arrange modifications to your home or having someone come out and check on you after a hospital visit to ensure you have everything you need each day. We are here when you need support no matter the task. Services can include:
- Help with showering / grooming
- Assistance in getting in and out of bed
- Social support in-home / outings
- Welfare check when unwell / return from hospital
- Toileting
- Dressing and undressing
- Assisting with self care
- Mobility assistance
Respite
We understand the importance of providing a respite service, our mobile respite care service is offered allowing carers to take some ‘me time’ with the knowledge that their loved one will continue to be cared for to the highest of standards.Services can include:
