The Not For Profit worked out how to manage the transfer of its existing residents. It has embarked on an ambitious plan to knock down and re-develop its Roselin Court facility at Joslin outside the Adelaide CBD.

The new development will include 96 aged care beds, 30 independent living units and 14 serviced apartments plus a community area to be delivered in two stages.

The finished facility will also offer dementia-specific innovations fostered through Life Care’s partnership with the Dementia Services Development Centre at UK’s Stirling University.

Life Care, which grew out of the Churches of Christ group, have been the big winner in the SA Government’s changes to retirement village approvals. They have recently partnered with Pedare Christian College for a $60M village with 78 independent living units and an 80-bed aged care home.

The village will also be home to 24 serviced apartments, another sign the serviced option is continuing to gain momentum. It’s pending approval from the local council.

They also have another $50 million, three-storey retirement village approved and a $35 million project waiting in the wings.
