Aged & Community Services Australia (ACSA) has announced that Pat Sparrow has been appointed CEO, effective 1 August.

She has most recently been aged and palliative care adviser to Sussan Ley, Minister for Health, Aged Care and Sport.  Pat has previously worked with http://www.agedcare.org.au/, ACSA as Deputy CEO as well as Director, Aged Care Reform at COTA.

ACSA National President, Paul Sadler, said “Pat brings a wealth of experience to the role of ACSA CEO. She has a unique perspective on aged care, having worked in the bureaucracy at local and state government level, for service providers, for consumers and for Federal Ministers. No one is better placed to represent ACSA and its members as once-in-a-generation reforms of aged care take place.”

Pat Sparrow takes over from John Kelly, who is now CEO of the National Heart Foundation.
