Veteran retirement village marketer Wayne Rogers has bet his own money on land lease communities backed with residential aged care.

With his first development in his own right, St Ann’s Living located at Old Beach – a waterside suburb of Hobart – he has sold and built 25 homes plus six under construction since last December. That is 10 months.

Targeting the affordable housing market, his architect designed manufactured homes sell for $230,000 for two bedrooms and $255,000 for three bedrooms in a setting overlooking the Derwent River.

The land is adjacent (with no dividing fence) to the Not For Profit St Ann’s aged care, with joint naming approval and home care services.

Wayne tells us that seven of his confirmed sales have been delivered by villages.com.au.

He has been marketing retirement villages since 1997, delivering 61 villages and 19 aged care facilities. This is his first land lease community.

(QLD’s Palm Lake Resorts is also developing aged care facilities adjacent to several of their land lease communities).
