Seniors Card are a valuable asset and the new discount deals are worth knowing as the cost of living keeps on rising.
On 10 February this year, the South Australian Government released the 2024 Seniors Card Discounts and Deals Directory. The directory, like in other states, has hundreds of discounted offers on everything from travel, home and garden, clothing, fitness, education, retail, recreational activities and more.
The SA Government also announced a new partnership with United Petroleum. South Australian Seniors Card members who register online for a digital or physical United fuel discount card can save four cents per litre on fuel purchases at participating United service stations across Australia, including 24 sites in metropolitan Adelaide and six sites in regional SA.
This follows those with a NSW Seniors Card, which received the same United Petroleum fuel offer on 5 August 2023.
In Western Australia, there is the Country Age Pension Fuel Card, which provides up to $575 a year towards the cost of fuel and/or taxi travel from participating providers to eligible pensioners living in country areas.
To qualify, the person applying must be either receiving a Centrelink Age Pension, Carer Payment, Disability Support Pension, or a Department of Veterans’ Affairs Service Pension, Social Security Age Pension, or Income Support Supplement; and living in an eligible regional location.
