We have incorporated design features that are particularly beneficial for residents with dementia and/or mobility challenges, such as wide hallways, movement sensor lighting in residents' rooms, and emergency call bells strategically placed throughout communal areas.

Our residents can partake in a range of daily activities, including entertainment, social events, and outings. We also provide additional services such as aromatherapy, massage, music therapy, and Pastoral Care support. Onsite amenities include a hairdressing salon and a serene chapel, offering a tranquil space for reflection and weekly mass services.

The established gardens within the internal courtyards are vibrant and adorned with lush foliage, creating an ideal environment for leisurely walks or enjoying a cup of tea while breathing in the fresh air.

The Operator

From Modest Beginnings to Touching Countless Lives: Southern Cross Care's Journey

With an unwavering dedication to making a positive impact, Southern Cross Care (WA) has been transforming lives and providing essential care for over half a century. Our story began in 1966, when a small group of compassionate men from the Order of the Knights of the Southern Cross recognized the pressing need for enhanced healthcare services for the elderly and vulnerable. These visionaries mortgaged their homes, establishing Southern Cross Care (WA) to serve the community and address the growing challenges faced by those in greatest need.

The legacy of these Knights endures to this day, as SCC (WA) has evolved into a leading care provider, catering to the intricate health, accommodation, and care requirements of our ageing population and individuals living with mental illness. Our journey is a testament to the remarkable difference that can be made when passion and commitment unite for a common cause.

At the heart of our success lies our dedicated workforce, comprising more than 900 employees and 130 volunteers. From the courageous nurses and compassionate care staff working tirelessly on the frontlines to the visionary leaders and dedicated support personnel working behind the scenes, our team is driven by a shared desire to create a tangible and positive impact on the lives of those who once nurtured us.

Whether our residents choose to live independently in the comfort of their own homes, embrace the vibrant lifestyle of our retirement villages, or require a higher level of specialised physical or mental health care, our primary goal is to ensure they feel content, supported, and genuinely cared for. We understand the importance of maintaining dignity and choice throughout each individual's unique life journey.

Today, Southern Cross Care (WA) stands as a beacon of hope and compassion, serving as a trusted ally for those seeking exceptional care and support. With a legacy built on humble beginnings, we continue to grow and evolve, guided by our founding principles of compassion, integrity, and respect. Together, we are committed to touching the lives of thousands, offering solace, comfort, and an unwavering commitment to enhancing the quality of life for all we serve.
