Tarcoola Hostel, a cozy and inviting home operated by Southern Cross Care (Qld) in the peaceful and friendly suburb of Tara in Queensland. Our aim is to provide a warm and nurturing environment that feels just like home for our residents.

We also pride ourselves on our delicious and nutritious meals, which are prepared by our experienced and skilled chefs. We offer a range of menu options to suit different dietary requirements and preferences, and our team is always happy to accommodate special requests.

Southern Cross Care Queensland (SCCQ) is a Catholic not-for-profit organisation established by the Knights of the Southern Cross, more than 40 years ago, who saw a need to provide compassionate care and inclusive service to some of the most vulnerable, the ageing population, in the community.

We have five Retirement Villages, thirteen Aged Care homes and offer Community Home Care services.   All our services are community focussed and connected, so that as a person’s needs change they can continue to be supported with compassionate, high quality care and support that they have come to know and trust us for.
