The new Cascades development at the Garden Village retirement village on the NSW Mid North Coast will be the Hasting Valley’s first vertical self-care accommodation designed for retirement living.

Located 1km from Port Macquarie CBD, The Cascades project will deliver 52 two- and three-bedroom apartments across two buildings, each with five floors of accommodation, underground parking and lock up storage with many of the apartments offering views of the Hastings River.

The additional 80 residents who will move in during a staged process later this year will increase the Garden Village community to about 420 people according to Garden Village chief executive officer Tim Everson.

Features of the $30 million self-care apartment complex include a restaurant, coffee shop, gymnasium, community centre and activity rooms in addition to an outdoor retreat.

Additional support and care services including meal assistance, housekeeping, laundry and nursing visits will also be available for residents who require them.
