Last apartments released for sale at sought-after Wollongong retirement village

The final collection of highly-anticipated apartments at Wollongong’s newest retirement village, Parkside at IRT Pioneer Place, have now been released for sale to the public.

All the architecturally-designed apartments offer relaxed, luxurious living spaces with an option of a two or three bedroom residence. Residents also have an array of apartments with an escarpment, ocean, or city view to choose from.

Seamless integration of the indoors and outdoors was a core focus of the village design. Featuring a rooftop entertainment deck, gym, wellness centre, community lounge and garden areas, residents have the opportunity to socialise with other residents or host visiting friends and family. The on-site café is open to the public, allowing full integration of Parkside with Wollongong City and the broader community.

Onsite, a Lifestyle Manager is also in place to communicate with residents on a social events calendar that they can choose to enjoy. Happy hour, public holiday get-togethers, exercise classes, movie nights, and day trips are all ideas on the agenda.

“Parkside is located in the heart of Wollongong,” says Stig Andersen, IRT Communities CEO.

“Within a block or two you can see live theatre at the Illawarra Performing Arts Centre, exhibitions at Wollongong City Art Gallery, major sporting events at WIN Stadium, or take in a round of golf at Wollongong Golf Club.”

The prime location means over-55’s residents are within walking distance of the city’s best shopping precincts and attractions, including supermarkets, cinemas, alfresco restaurants and cafés. Peace of mind is also assured with the close proximity of local doctors and hospitals.

Parkside also welcomes pets, and has a built-in emergency call system enabled if and when needed to provide an extra level of support for older residents.

“Each of the apartments feature generous balconies, quality fixtures and fittings, undercover on-site parking and lift access from all floors,” Mr Andersen says.

“Reverse cycle air conditioning, built-in wardrobes, stone bench tops and top-quality appliances make these apartments a cut above.”
