Opal has begun work on a $48M aged care home in Sydney’s west. The four-storey, 155-bed specialist nursing home at Bankstown is just 500m from Bankstown Hospital and will offer a range of culturally-specific services including Arabic speaking staff, Halal and Kosher meals and prayer services.

It’s just one of eight new aged care homes Opal is building in western Sydney at a cost of $300M, at Toongabbie, Winston Hills, Blacktown, Penrith, Wentworthville and Cabramatta.

In August last year, Opal opened its 133-bed Cardinal Freeman aged care home at Ashfield in partnership with Stockland.
