Penrith City Council has chosen the private operator to develop a retirement village and aged care home on council land in central Penrith.

The development will be Greengate’s first independent project, with its four other villages in Sydney and Brisbane all built on land owned by the Catholic Church (shown here is their award-winning St. Brigid’s Green village at Maroubra).

The proposed development includes independent living apartments, an aged care home plus additional community and medical services and will form part of Penrith’s Living Well Precinct which the Council wants to create for older residents looking to downsize.

“We are looking forward to working with Council to create a great community that is tailored to local seniors,” Greengate Director Andrew Sweeney said.

The site is also just a few streets away from the 108 unit retirement village and 108-bed aged care home the Penrith Panthers Leagues Club is currently building opposite its club with Maurice Tulich.
