A crowd record of nearly 750 residents, volunteers and spectators descended on the resort and fun was had by all.<\/p><p>Ten GemLife resorts across Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria took part in eight events.<\/p><p>\u201cThe GemLife Games exemplifies the spirit of community and active living that GemLife is known for,\u201d said GemLife Director and CEO Adrian Puljich. \u201cThis year\u2019s games are the biggest yet \u2013 and we are immensely proud to be the only land lease community operator in Australia hosting an event like this.\u201d\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0This year\u2019s program featured eight sporting events, including the return of the swimming competition, which was expanded to include men\u2019s and women\u2019s age groups. Cheer squads brought colour and enthusiasm to the sidelines, while the GemLife Palmwoods mascot, Paynter the Platypus, made regular rounds, posing for photos and encouraging athletes.\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0\u201cWhat a fantastic two days it\u2019s been! I\u2019ve had so much fun and met so many lovely, friendly people from all the resorts,\u201d said Glenys Cummings, representing GemLife Rainbow Beach on the NSW Mid North Coast, as part of the NSW Coasters team.<\/p><p>\u201cThese games are amazing. GemLife has turned it on \u2013 it\u2019s so well organised, there\u2019s great food, friendly staff, and wonderful volunteers. And to top it all off, I had the pleasure of staying with my wonderful billet, these past two days has made all the long hours more than worth
