There are now 13 villas with 25 residents, a community centre and an energetic Village Manager Michelle Oxley-Chambers.<\/p><p>Despite its small size, the community has raised $2,621 under Michelle\u2019s guidance by staging a Spring Fashion Parade with all money raised going to the registered charity <a href=\"https:\/\/pinksilks.com.au\/\">Pink Silks<\/a>.<\/p><p>The photo shows Michelle (left) handing the cheque over to Pink Silks Founder and Chair Tanya Johnson.<\/p><p>She networked with her colleagues at Oak Tree Retirement Villages Armidale and Goonellabah and the money was raised through selling tickets for $30 and a raffle.<\/p><p>It was the retirement village&#8217;s second Spring Fashion Parade and, again, a sellout.<\/p><p>\u201cThere were the most beautiful new spring fashions, shoes and accessories showcased by Jacqui\u2019s Fashion Boutique \u2013 one of the most long-standing fashion houses in Coffs Harbour and adored by all,\u201d Michelle told News of the Area.<\/p><p>To add a festival spirit, there were stalls set up from local businesses Orara Valley Produce, Jelly Joy Skincare, Chocolate Dr, Bliss By Lis and Jacqui\u2019s.<\/p><p>\u201cWhile it was a lot of work, to see everyone having such a wonderful time was very rewarding,\u201d Michelle said.<\/p><p>\u201cIt\u2019s brilliant to be able to donate money to the Pink Silks, who know themselves how rewarding it is to host successful events like this.\u201d<\/p><p>There were multiple raffle and lucky door prizes on offer, donated by Emerald Island Distillery, along with some of the stall holders, Red Sparrow Tea Company, Oak Tree Retirement Village, and Michelle herself.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It is amazing what can be achieved with a little foresight.
