To be eligible for a Seniors Card people need to be aged 60, a permanent resident and not be in more than 20 hours of paid work a week.\u00a0 In Queensland and Western Australia, people need to be aged 65 plus.<\/p><p>The benefits of holding a Seniors Card are many, but all offer transport concessions and access to discounts from participating businesses on a variety of goods and services.<\/p><p>In the <strong>ACT<\/strong>, more than 300 organisations provide a number of benefits and discounts on a wide range of goods and services. For all the discounts, click <a href=\"https:\/\/www.actseniorscard.org.au\/\">HERE<\/a><\/p><p>In <strong>NSW<\/strong>, the Seniors Card means eligibility for a Gold Opal Card and unlimited travel for $2.50 a day, 4 cents a litre off fuel from a United service station, and there are savings on energy too. In addition, there are over 3,500 businesses participating. For further details, click <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nsw.gov.au\/community-services\/seniors-card\">HERE<\/a><\/p><p>In the <strong>NT<\/strong>, the Seniors Card entitles cardholders to a $55 annual concession on the registration of their private vehicle and free bus travel on the public networks in Darwin and Alice Springs. For further details, click <a href=\"https:\/\/ntseniorscard.org.au\/\">HERE.<\/a><\/p><p>In <strong>Queensland<\/strong>, people are eligible for one of two different Seniors Card if 65 years or older and working less than 35 hours a week in paid employment. Or, 60-64, and working less than 35 hours a week in paid employment, if holders of a Commonwealth Pensioner Concession Card, a Commonwealth Health Care Card, a Commonwealth Seniors Health Card and a Department of Veterans\u2019 Affairs Gold, White or Orange card.<\/p><p>There is a Queensland Seniors Card and Seniors Card +go. The latter enables public transport in South East Queensland. There is also the Seniors Business Discount Card, which is available if ineligible for the previous two cards.<\/p><p>In <strong>South Australia<\/strong>, the Seniors Card means free travel on Adelaide Metro buses, trains, and trams. There are discounts and deals, unique offers, competitions such as photographic competitions.<\/p><p><strong>Tasmania<\/strong> has a Seniors Card and over 600 businesses provide discounts.<\/p><p><strong>Victoria<\/strong> has a Seniors Card for people aged 60 years plus and working less than 35 hours per week in paid employment. Benefits include discounts from participating business, concessions on public transport, a free Seniors myki, exemption from a fishing licence to fish in Victorian waters and can be used in New Zealand. It also entitled holders to a discount of 4c per litre with United.<\/p><p>The <strong>WA<\/strong> Seniors Card, for people aged over 61, is arguably the best.
