Approval for new over 70's senior living apartments.

Development approval has been given to a new seniors development at Somerton Park, south west Adelaide.
Holdfast Bay Council approved the $15 million application by seniors care and lifestyle provider Masonic Homes to build 38 contemporary apartments. The four level apartments have been specifically developed with over 70s in mind.
One, two and three bedroom apartments will be available. Ground floor gardens, direct access from private car parks and wide balconies are optional features. All apartments will include energy efficient features and the facility for high speed internet.
"The features at Lumina Apartments are ideal for those people who are still very involved in the community and live active lives but have thought about the future and how their needs may change," Masonic Homes CEO Doug Strain said.
"The active over 70s are great participators in life and we want to provide them with the security of a formal retirement environment and all the freedoms they have in the family home."
