Our McCrindle Baynes Village Census found 26 per cent of 1,040 residents across 232 villages that had moved into a village in the past 23 months were under 70 years of age.

21 per cent were aged 71 to 74, making 74 per cent all up under 75 years of age.

This was the reverse of trends post GFC where new residents had been getting older. Why? People with health problems could sell their homes in the rising property market faster.
