Lifemark is the new, independent accreditation scheme for retirement villages and operators. This development has been led by the Retirement Living Council. Developed and administered by industry leader, BSI, the Lifemark audit enable retirement living providers to assure the quality of their accommodation against 26 Lifemark standards developed by the industry.

The RLC and BSI state Lifemark will provide an independent verification of performance to standards, identify risk to operations, provide continual improvement and positive branding.

Lend Lease is the first operator to be accredited and 21 lend lease villages have also been accredited. A further 150 villages nationally Are expected to be accredited by the end of 2014.
