Kiama council, successful operators of Blue Haven Retirement Village (pictured) have begun negotiations with Shoalhaven and Illawarra Local Health District to gain access to land surrounding Kiama Hospital. 

They are hoping to duplicate their success with a new aged care facility and retirement village where medical aid will always be at hand.

Their plan is to have a 134 bed care facility extended onto the hospital as well as a retirement village for independent living.  They are aiming to provide a safe and comfortable environment for their residents.
