Manager of the Australian Unity Victorian village, The Oaks/Walmsley Friendship Village, Kerry Rentsch, was selected as the 2013 National Manager of the Year at last week’s Retirement Living Summit. This follows a judging process in each state that included management of operators plus resident associations. Managers were nominated by staff and residents of the respective villages. Kerry has 27 years experience in the retirement, aged care and health industry.

Martin Bending won the Rising Generation Award, given to a young professional who displays innovation and leadership in the work and upholds the values of the industry. Martin pioneered an exercise physiology program for the residents of the Constitution Hill Retirement Village in Sydney as Rehabilitation Services Manager.
