Demonstrating that vigilance is still required within a gated village estate, two men knocked on the door of an 87-year-old male resident they had targeted just after midnight in a Bundaberg co-located village. They threatened him with a replica gun and extendable batons, demanding his wallet and then stealing his car.

The younger of the two themes, Christopher Bell, was sentenced to 8 months for break and entry and stealing and four months for unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
