Derek McMillan’s Australian Unity Retirement Living is consolidating its home care business in Southern and Western Sydney plus the Southern Highlands. They have acquired INS health care, with over 70 staff, an established client base and 126 home care packages. Australian Unity has three retirement villages in the catchment area, providing a ready market for the home care services.

This acquisition adds to Australian Unity’s purchase last November of 50% share in KNS Essential Services, a home care service provider also in the Southern Highlands (Bowral).

INS will concentrate on its INS Lifeguard and INS Technologies, delivering Tele-Care, medical alarms Tele-Health, and E-health services, led by Claude Rafin.
