Twenty two Australians were amongst the delegates from 12 countries that attended the South African Care Forum in Stellenbosch last week. At the conclusion of the three days Southern Cross Care SA & NT CEO, Andrew Larpent, hosted a presentation on CommonAge, a new organisation with a mandate to support ageing in Commonwealth countries.

CommonAge is an Australian initiative; the objective is to assist many of the 53 Commonwealth countries which lack the experience and best practice systems that Australia has developed in aged care.

Andrew Larpent is the inaugural Chairperson and retired Eldercare CEO Klaus Zimmermann is the inaugural CEO.
Andrew is photographed with Francis from Cameroon; Jim Hazel (Chairman of Ingenia) is photographed with Sister Lucia from remote Wasbank (South Africa) and Margie van Zyl Chapman, Chairperson of the International Association of Homes and Services for the Ageing (IAHSA).
